We had been back there for a long time (the previous tenant and the service there had taken our mood away). But I have to say everything is top again under the new leadership. Delicious food, good beer and the location is great anyway. We will come back more often, highly recommended.

Juice shop. Nothing to eat, only cake on Sundays. Almost all tables are reserved with or without a name, but there is no indication of when. People who sat down at such a table were severely reprimanded. Welcome to Franconia. The tables all have a reservation sign, but this only applies if there is a larger one with a name on them. We then drank our drink at a table without a name with a reservation sign. When we left the reserved seats were still empty. Time from when the reservation is made would make sense. There were quite a few people who left because of the signs because they couldn't find a place, despite more than 10 empty tables.

Unfortunately, I don't understand the beer garden operator's business policy. How can you go on holiday during the best beer garden time? Anyone who runs a beer garden should be there for their guests during beer garden time. Otherwise, he should find another job. Presumably closed for wealth.

Have been to the Wagner cellar for a long time yesterday. The location is just beautiful. There were three of us on our bikes and hadn't made a reservation. Although well attended, we got a place. We found the whole process very good. We received a very friendly welcome, brought us to our table and wished us a pleasant stay. The food was very good, as was the beer. No long waiting times when serving beer or ordering food. We were also given a very friendly farewell and thanked for our visit. We will definitely be back soon.

Super nice cellar, a great playground for children, delicious food, good beer. Reservation is an advantage as the cellar is well attended. Really recommended and gladly again and again.

Again highly recommended under the new leadership. The Eichhorn sausage from Viereth is very tasty. Reservation is advisable.

Questionable interpretation of the corona measures Today there were four of us with my parents (my father is 86) in the basement, together at a table of about 2.20. A couple unknown to us should sit down at the table. We pointed out to the host that the minimum distance of 1.50 m could not be maintained. The landlord claimed he could seat 10 people at a table. If that doesn't suit us, we should finish our beer and go. We did that too. What remains is a bitter aftertaste - and the recommendation to better avoid this cellar in Corona times.

The best beer, neighborly atmosphere

We were back in the meantime and I correct a star down. Not everyone in the service is really friendly and the organization could be different or even better. Basement with a beautiful view of the valley. Ordinary beer.

This was another lunch stop on an Easter Monday. I'd ready they had full meals on all holidays and Easter Monday fit the bill. It was a gloomy day but the interior was cozy even if the outside seating area was obviously not open for the season. I had a great Schäuferla and my wife had duck breast. Both were perfectly done and quite large. Their Kellerbier was a little flatter than it probably was meant to be but it was gravity dispensed and maybe sitting a bit too long. It was tasty nonetheless but would like to return in summer when it's busier and my guess is it will be in better form. Their Bock was surprisingly good and was glad I switched to it after one Kellerbier. Hope to return in warmer weather but an Easter Monday stop would suit me fine, too.

Just a fantastic place to sit and look across the valley while sipping on the best lager beer the region has to offer.
